On Sunday morning, SpaceX attempted to launch their Falcon 9 rocket with 60 Starlink satellites encapsulated in the fairing. The sequence proceeded nominally until the engines ignited and "out of family data" triggered an abort shutting down the engines. SpaceX reported that it was an issue that occurred during the engine power check that happens right before the rocket is released from the launchpad.
They are now targeting 8:16am EDT on Wednesday from LC-39a at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This will be the first time a first stage booster is flown 5 times, setting a SpaceX record of 5 reuses on a single booster. The first stage will be landing on their Droneship "Of Course I Still Love You" stationed out in the Atlantic Ocean. The fairings on this mission are being used from one of the previous Starlink missions and they are planning on recovering both halves with their recovery vessels Ms. Tree and Ms. Chief.
The Starlink satellites will be deployed into a low orbit 15 minutes after launch. Then using Ion Thrusters, they will raise their orbits to a circular 550km orbit after data is reviewed and checked out by SpaceX engineers.
SpaceX is aiming to have coverage across the Northern US and Canada this year, and then global coverage by 2021.
